The Islamic Republic of Pakistan has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of Strengthening Hydromet and Climate Services under Component-II of the Integrated Flood Resilience and Adaptation Project (IFRAP), and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for this consulting assignment.
Position Details
Financial Management Specialist (FMS)
Qualifications: Professional qualification — CA, ACCA, or ACMA — from a recognized institution.
Experience:
- Ten (10) years of experience managing finance for large international, national, or subnational projects.
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience in areas covered under the Terms of Reference (TORs).
Application Requirements
The Project Implementation Unit – Pakistan Meteorological Department (PIU-PMD) invites eligible individual consultants to submit an Expression of Interest, including:
- A letter of Expression of Interest demonstrating ability, skills, and experience to undertake the assignment and deliver the required inputs/outputs under the TOR.
- A detailed, dated, and signed Curriculum Vitae highlighting qualifications and experience in similar assignments, along with references for possible checks.
Interested consultants should also review Section III, paragraphs 3.14, 3.16, and 3.17 of the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” (November 2020), which outline the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest.
The consultant will be selected in accordance with the Open Competitive Selection of Individual Consultants method, as set out in the World Bank’s Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers (November 2020).
Employment Terms
The selected consultant will be employed on a contract basis, working full-time at PIU-PMD, Saidpur, Islamabad.
