The Government of Sindh is looking for high-caliber, energetic, proactive, and result-oriented professionals to work as Director Finance at Dawood University of Engineering & Technology, Karachi. The selected candidate will be a part of the senior management team, assisting in fiscal leadership, budget development, operational coordination, and financial decision-making.

Vacant Positions & Eligibility Criteria

1. Director Finance

• Contract Period: Three (03) Years

• Age Limit: 55 Years (Maximum on the closing date)

• Remuneration: Competitive salary package commensurate with qualification/experience as determined by the competent authority.

• Minimum Qualification: * CA / ACCA / ACMA, OR

  • Masters (Finance / Accounting / Commerce).

  • The applicant must be a member of recognized professional bodies i.e., ICMA, ICAAP, fellow PIPFA, etc.

• Experience: Having at least ten (10) years of experience in handling financial matters in reputable commercial organizations or in the public sector universities.

• Job Description / Major Responsibilities:

  • Lead the financial team of the University.

  • Responsible for budget development and management.

  • Keep proper financial records and accounts.

  • Maintain an effective system of internal financial control.

  • Take an effective part in ERP implementation.

  • Keep close liaison with various stakeholders including audits, ministries, and departments.

  • Represent the University at various forums on financial matters.

  • Deal with the Higher Education Commission (HEC) on financial matters.

  • Ensure that appropriate advice is given to the Syndicate / BoG of the University on all financial matters.

  • Monitor the financial matters of all the ADP / PSDP schemes of the University.
