MEPCO Jobs 2026 – Vacancies in Market Implementation and Regulatory Affairs Department

The Multan Electric Power Company Limited (MEPCO), one of the largest public sector electricity distribution companies in Pakistan, invites applications from dynamic, high-caliber professional candidates (male/female) from all over Pakistan.

These positions are under the Market Implementation and Regulatory Affairs Department (MIRAD). Appointments will be strictly on a contract basis, renewable annually subject to satisfactory performance.

📋 Vacant Positions & Eligibility Criteria

1. Manager (Legal / Contracts) — BPS-19 (01 Post)

Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Law. A Diploma in Contract Law and higher relevant qualifications will be given preference.
Experience: Minimum 12 years’ experience with 05 years as a High Court practitioner. Must understand legal/regulatory affairs associated with the power sector (contract drafting, review, management laws, power/energy sales/purchases framework). Knowledge of competitive electricity markets is an advantage.
Age Limit: Up to 50 years as on closing date.

2. Manager (Planning & Forecasting) — BPS-19 (01 Post)

Qualification: Master / BE / BS Electrical / Electronic Engineering (16 years education) in 1st Division (min 60% marks) from an HEC recognized university. Must be registered with PEC. Computer literacy is mandatory.
Experience: Minimum 12 years’ experience including 05 years in distribution and planning. Must possess a comprehensive understanding of transmission and demand forecasting functions. Knowledge of competitive electricity markets is an advantage.
Age Limit: Up to 50 years as on closing date.

3. Manager (Contracts Management & Regulatory Affairs) — BPS-19 (01 Post)

Qualification: Master/Bachelor equivalent to 16 years’ degree in Engineering / Finance / Accounting / Law / Management Sciences from an HEC recognized university. Computer literacy is mandatory. For Engineering degrees, PEC registration is required.
Experience: 12 years’ experience including 05 years in Contract Management & Regulatory Affairs.
Age Limit: Up to 50 years as on closing date.

4. Deputy Manager (Legal / Contracts) — BPS-18 (01 Post)

Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Law. A Diploma in Contract Law and higher relevant qualifications will be given preference.
Experience: Minimum 05 years’ experience with 02 years as a High Court practitioner. Understanding of legal/regulatory affairs in the power sector (contract drafting, review, rules/regulations) is preferred. Knowledge of competitive electricity markets is an advantage.
Age Limit: Up to 45 years as on closing date.

5. Deputy Manager (Finance) — BPS-18 (01 Post)

Qualification: * i) Chartered Accountant / ICMA (Member of ICA P/ ICMAP). No experience required for this tier.
- ii) MBA or equivalent (16 years education with a Major in Finance). Requires 05 years post-qualification experience in Audit and Accounts of Gov/Semi-Gov/Autonomous bodies or large listed companies.
Note: Experience in cost accounting, bilateral contracts, bidding processes, and competitive electricity markets will be an added advantage. Computer literacy is mandatory.
Age Limit: Up to 45 years as on closing date.

6. Deputy Manager (Demand Forecasting) — BPS-18 (01 Post)

Qualification: Master / BE / BS Electrical / Electronic Engineering (16 years education) in 1st Division (min 60% marks) from an HEC recognized university. Must be registered with PEC. Computer literacy is mandatory.
Experience: Minimum 05 years’ experience including 03 years in demand forecasting and transmission planning. Understanding of transmission and demand forecasting functions is required. Knowledge of competitive electricity markets is an advantage.
Age Limit: Up to 45 years as on closing date.

7. Deputy Manager (Regulatory Affairs) — BPS-18 (01 Post)

Qualification: Master/Bachelor equivalent to 16 years’ degree in Engineering / Finance / Accounting / Law / Management Sciences from an HEC recognized university. Computer literacy is mandatory. For Engineering degrees, PEC registration is required.
Experience: Minimum 05 years’ experience including 03 years in regulatory affairs. Comprehensive understanding of regulatory affairs and competitive electricity markets is an asset.
Age Limit: Up to 45 years as on closing date.

8. Assistant Manager (Demand Forecasting) — BPS-17 (01 Post)

Qualification: BE / B.Sc. / BS Electrical / Electronic Engineering (16 years education) in 1st Division (min 60% marks) from an HEC recognized university. Must be registered with PEC. Computer literacy is mandatory.
Experience: Minimum 03 years’ experience including 01 year in demand forecasting.
Age Limit: Up to 35 years as on closing date.

9. Assistant Manager (Transmission Planning) — BPS-17 (01 Post)

Qualification: BE / B.Sc. / BS Electrical / Electronic Engineering (16 years education) in 1st Division (min 60% marks) from an HEC recognized university. Must be registered with PEC. Computer literacy is mandatory.
Experience: Minimum 03 years’ experience including 01 year in transmission planning. Understanding of transmission planning at 132 KV level and capital budgeting is preferred.
Age Limit: Up to 35 years as on closing date.

💵 Salary & Packages

Salary: Market-based lump-sum pay packages will be offered to selected candidates.

📑 Important Terms & Conditions

Nationality: Candidate must be a Pakistani citizen.
Nature of Post: Positions are purely commercial, non-pensionable, and carry no right to permanent employment.
Government Servants: Candidates working in Government / Semi-Government / Autonomous bodies must apply through the proper channel and provide an NOC at the time of the interview.
Test & Interview: Only shortlisted candidates meeting the eligibility criteria will be called for a written test/interview. No TA/DA will be admissible.
