MTI Hayatabad Medical Complex Peshawar Jobs 2026 – Faculty Positions in Ophthalmology, Public Health, Epidemiology & Optometry

Applications are invited under the Medical Teaching Institution (MTI) Act 2015, for the following vacancies at MTI-HMC and Affiliate Institutes (KGMC, IKD, B&PSC, PICO and FHH), Peshawar.

Available Positions

1. Faculty Position: (i) Ophthalmology (ii) Public Health

Qualification:

• MBBS or equivalent medical qualification recognized/registered by the PM&DC.
• PM&DC-recognized medical qualification in the respective/relevant specialty, OR other equivalent qualification in the respective/relevant specialty approved by the Standing Recognition Committee (SRC) and recognized/registered by the PM&DC.
• The candidate must meet the PM&DC & MTI criteria for faculty selection.

Note:

1. Upon selection, the candidate will receive a faculty position at the appropriate level (Assistant, Associate, or full Professor).
2. Selected candidates will be offered grade/scale as per IPS MTI-HMC & Affiliate Institutes (KGMC, IKD, B&PSC, PICO and FHH).
3. In case of the faculty position in Ophthalmology, preference will be given to candidates having experience in dealing with corneal pathology.

2. Faculty Position (PICO): Epidemiology

Qualification:

• MBBS or equivalent medical qualification recognized/registered by the PM&DC.
• PM&DC-recognized medical qualification in the respective/relevant specialty, OR other equivalent qualification in the respective/relevant specialty approved by the SRC and recognized/registered by the PM&DC.
• The candidate must meet the PM&DC & MTI criteria for faculty selection.

OR

• BS Vision Sciences/Optometry from a recognized university.
• MS/MPhil in the relevant/respective specialty (Epidemiology).
• Candidates having a PhD degree (Epidemiology) will be preferred.

Note:

3. Lecturer (Basic Sciences)

Qualification:

• MBBS or equivalent medical qualification fully recognized/registered by the PM&DC.

Additional Qualification/Experience:

• Candidates having relevant additional qualification will be preferred.
• Candidates having relevant professional experience will be preferred.

Note: Selected candidates will be offered grade/scale as per IPS MTI-HMC & Affiliate Institutes (KGMC, IKD, B&PSC, PICO and FHH).

4. Lecturer (Optometry)

Qualification:

• BS Vision Sciences/Optometry from a recognized university.

Additional Qualification/Experience:

• Candidates having relevant additional qualification will be preferred.
• Candidates having relevant professional experience will be preferred.

Note: Selected candidates will be offered grade/scale as per IPS MTI-HMC & Affiliate Institutes (KGMC, IKD, B&PSC, PICO and FHH).

Terms and Conditions

1. Application, on the prescribed form, duly filled in all respects along with bio-data and attested academic/experience record, must reach the Human Resource Department, Khyber Girls Medical College, PDA Building Block-IV, Phase-V, Hayatabad, Peshawar, within two (02) weeks of the latest publication of this advertisement in the newspaper.
2. Employees will be allocated/placed at the appropriate level as per the Institutional Pay Scale (IPS) of MTI-HMC and Affiliate Institutes (KGMC, IKD, PICO, B&PSC, and FHH).
3. The application form can be downloaded from the college website: www.kgmc.edu.pk.
4. The processing fee of Rs. 3,000 (non-refundable) for S.No. 1, 2, and Rs. 2,000 for S.No. 3, 4, should be deposited with the cashier (Account Section) in KGMC, Peshawar, or submitted online in the account of KGMC titled “Salary Account of KGMC Employees,” Account No. 3005642387, Bank of Khyber (BOK), through a deposit slip, and the original slip attached with the application form.
5. Services will be governed under the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Medical & Teaching Institutions Reform (MTI) Act, 2015.
6. Applicants having incomplete documents will not be entertained.
7. Selected candidates will serve MTI HMC and Affiliate Institutes (KGMC, IKD, B&PSC, PICO and FHH), Peshawar, under the specified probation period.
8. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview.
9. Candidates may be shortlisted either on the basis of their pre-interview marks or based on an Entry Test, if the number of candidates is very high.
10. In case an Entry Test is taken for shortlisting candidates, its marks will have no weightage in the total aggregate marks.
11. Applications must reach this office on or before the last date, during office hours, as outlined in Para-1. If the closing date falls on an official holiday, the next working day shall be considered the closing date. Applications received after the closing time and date shall stand rejected.
12. The Scrutiny Committee of MTI HMC and Affiliate Institutes (KGMC, IKD, B&PSC, PICO and FHH) shall be competent to reject incomplete applications. However, aggrieved candidates can appeal to the Competent Authority (Dean, MTI HMC and Affiliate Institutes) for review; the decision of the Competent Authority shall be final.
13. Any candidate may be disqualified and/or excluded from the interview if he/she: (a) has been convicted by a court of law; (b) has a previous history of dismissal from public service; (c) knowingly furnishes false information; (d) suppresses information which may lead to disqualification; (e) attempts to obtain support for their candidature by improper means; (f) submits forged certificates; (g) tampers with entries in age or academic certificates; (h) misbehaves during the interview.
14. Any attempt to approach or influence the selection committee will automatically disqualify the applicant; the decision of the selection committee will be final, subject to approval by the Board of Governors.
15. After a final decision, no correspondence regarding the process will be entertained.
16. Applicants working in private institutions should get prior approval/NOC from the HR Department of their respective institution. Government servants should apply through the proper channel and obtain NOC from their respective departments/institutions.
17. In case of selection, the civil servant will have to resign from civil service.
18. Original documents shall be produced at the time of interview.
19. No TA/DA is admissible.
