Qualification Requirements (Summary)

Senior Consultant Cardiac Surgery / Associate Professor:

MBBS or equivalent medical qualification recognized by PMDC, with FCPS/MS/FRCS/MRCP/MD or Diplomate of American Board in the respective specialty, along with 3 years post-graduation practical experience; or
5 years teaching experience in the specialty at a recognized institution as Assistant Professor (or equivalent), with at least 3 research papers published in a standard medical journal

Consultant Cardiac Surgery / Assistant Professor:

MBBS or equivalent qualification recognized by PMDC, along with FCPS (Cardiac Surgery) or MS (Cardiac Surgery) or equivalent, plus 3 years teaching or practical experience in the subject (teaching experience preferred)
Alternative qualifications with additional practical experience are also considered, as per the detailed criteria in the advertisement

Consultant Cardiac Surgery / Senior Registrar Cardiac Surgery:

MBBS or equivalent qualification recognized by PMDC, with FCPS (Cardiac Surgery) or MS (Cardiac Surgery)/equivalent qualification, or FCPS/MS (Surgery) with a Minor Diploma in Cardiac Surgery
Alternative qualifications with 2 years’ practical experience also considered

Consultant Cardiologist / Senior Registrar of Cardiology:

MBBS or equivalent qualification recognized by PMDC, with FCPS (Cardiology) or MS (Cardiology)/equivalent, or FCPS (Medicine)/MD (Medicine) with a Minor Diploma in Cardiology
Alternative qualifications with 2 years’ practical experience also considered

Medical Officer:

MBBS qualification recognized by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council
Registered with the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council
One year experience of regular house job

Medical Officer (Anesthesia):

MBBS qualification recognized by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council
Registered with the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council
One year experience of regular house job

Terms & Conditions (Key Points)

Nawaz Sharif Cardiac Centre, Samli Murree, is an attached institute of RIC; selected candidates may be deployed there as per institutional policy
Both male and female applicants with domicile of Punjab Province may apply
Appointments will be made on an Ad-hoc basis, initially for a period of 1 year, extendable subject to good performance
‘O’ and ‘A’ Level candidates must submit an equivalence certificate
Special Persons (differently-abled) must attach proof of registration from the Social Welfare Department, along with a Disability Certificate
Applicants must provide original documents at the time of scrutiny/interview
Age and experience will be calculated on the last date of submission of application
Age relaxation in the upper age limit will be as per the latest notification by the Government of Punjab S&GAD & Recruitment Policy 2022
Quotas will be observed as per Recruitment Policy 2022
Candidates applying for more than one post must submit a separate application form for each post

Only degrees from recognized universities/institutes (or reputed foreign universities with HEC recognition) will be accepted

The appointment will be made strictly in accordance with rules and policies; candidates must possess diplomas from the Punjab Medical Faculty or a recognized/affiliated institution

Shortlisted candidates will be called for interview and informed accordingly
