Job Position

Position: General Banking Officer (OG-III) – Female Batch Organization: National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) Employment Type: Contractual (03 years, renewable at the Bank’s discretion)

Abbottabad, Bahawalpur, Bannu, Dera Ghazi Khan, Faisalabad, Gilgit, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Gwadar, Hyderabad, Islamabad, Jhang, Jhelum, Karachi, Lahore, Larkana, Mansehra, Mardan, Mianwali, Mirpur A.K, Mirpurkhas, Multan, Muzaffarabad A.K, Peshawar, Quetta, Rawalakot, Rawalpindi, Sahiwal, Sargodha, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Sibi, Sukkur, Swat, and Vehari.

Eligibility Criteria

Education / Qualification

Minimum graduation or an equivalent degree from a local or international University/College/Institute recognized by the HEC of Pakistan, with at least 60% marks or a minimum CGPA of 2.5.

Age Limit

Maximum 35 years, as on the last date of submission of the application.

Experience

Candidates with 01 year of relevant banking experience will be preferred.
Fresh graduates are also strongly encouraged to apply.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

As a General Banking Officer at NBP, selected candidates will be responsible for a wide range of front-office and back-office banking operations, including:

Managing and handling front-office and back-office transactions efficiently
Handling remittance-related activities and processing online transactions
Opening and maintaining customer accounts
Monitoring inoperative and dormant accounts, and issuing notices to unclaimed account holders when required
Issuing financial instruments and processing inward/outward clearing as per internal SOPs and Prudential Regulations
Processing ATM claim settlements and managing lockers
Handling cash management duties when assigned
Processing and managing term deposits, including issuance, payments, and balancing of TDRs
Assisting the Operations Manager in promoting and selling products such as Traveler’s Cheques, Saving Bonds, Money Orders, and Cashier Cheques
Scrutinizing daily transaction vouchers and maintaining proper filing for audit purposes
Issuing payment receipts to customers
Performing daily financial tasks such as verifying, calculating, and posting accounts receivable data, and reconciling payments with the general ledger
Generating month-end reports
Carrying out any additional tasks assigned by supervisors
