Applications are invited from professionally sound individuals having domicile of Sindh, and possessing the requisite qualification, work experience, and expertise as per the eligibility criteria below, for one-year contract employment on a purely temporary basis in a Public Sector Organization of Sindh.

Position Details

Job Specific Requirements

Candidates should:

• Have an LLB/LLM degree from a university recognized by the Higher Education Commission, OR have the professional qualification of Barrister-at-Law. In case of foreign education, the candidate should have an HEC Equivalence Certificate.
• Be enrolled with the Sindh Bar Council and hold a license to appear before High Courts.
• Have at least 3 years of standing practice, independently pleading cases before a High Court.
• Have rich knowledge of the Constitution of Pakistan and general and procedural laws.
• Be fluent in English.
• Have rich expertise in legal drafting and preparing Written Arguments, Written Statements, PWCs, CAs, Misc. Applications, CPLAs, and Reference Applications.
• Have good skills in drafting and vetting agreements, contracts, tenders, MOUs, etc.
• Be well-versed with court procedure, and be able to liaise and deal with court offices for fixation of cases and case management.
• Have good negotiation skills for dispute resolution in court matters and/or ADR cases.

Candidates having expertise in Federal and Provincial fiscal laws may have an added advantage.

Terms and Conditions

1. The positions are full-time jobs and will be filled on a purely temporary basis under a contract for a period of one year. The contract may be extended at the discretion of the employer; however, the contract employee shall not be regularized into a regular post.
2. The appointee will be liable for posting anywhere in Sindh, but may mostly be stationed in Karachi.
3. Candidates already serving in Government Departments/Autonomous Bodies/Semi-Government offices must apply through the proper channel.
4. Candidates who fulfill the prescribed eligibility criteria may apply. Applications of those who do not fulfill the requirements will be liable to be cancelled at any stage, whether at the application scrutiny stage or during the process of selection or subsequently, and no claim whatsoever shall be entertained.
5. Only candidates who fulfill the prescribed eligibility criteria will be called for test/interview.
6. No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing in the test/interview.
7. Incomplete applications, applications without supporting documents, and applications received after the due date shall not be considered.
