The University of Okara, a public sector university established under the Government of Punjab Act XIII of 2016, has announced new teaching faculty vacancies for the year 2026. The university currently has more than 16,000 students and over 400 faculty and staff members, making it one of the most progressive and dynamic institutions of higher learning in the region. Situated on 204 acres of land between Multan Road and Canal Lower Bari Doab Aab at Renala Khurd, District Okara, the university is now looking to expand its teaching and research faculty by hiring highly qualified and exceptionally motivated professionals.

Note: Candidates who have already applied for the position of Professor of Education (BS-21) under advertisement No. 04/2026 do not need to apply again.
Important Instructions and Terms & Conditions
- Interested candidates may download the application form from the University website: www.uo.edu.pk.
- Candidates must submit their complete applications, along with the original bank draft/deposit slip, by August 20, 2026.
- Applicants are advised to carefully read all instructions and terms of the advertisement, as well as the “Important Instructions to Candidates” available on the University website, before submitting their applications.
- Candidates already employed in Government or Semi-Government services or autonomous bodies must send their application/dossier through proper channel and attach a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their relevant authority.
- In case a screening test is held for any post, it will be mandatory for all eligible candidates to appear, whether applying on merit or against any quota.
- Only short-listed candidates will be called for interview.
- It is mandatory to deposit an application processing fee of Rs. 4,000/- (for BPS-21 or equivalent posts), payable separately for each application. The fee must be remitted either through a bank draft (NTN No. 9021534-6) in favor of “Treasurer, University of Okara, Renala Khurd,” or deposited in HBL under the account titled “Treasurer Payment Account No. 01527913908901” of the University of Okara. The original bank draft or deposit slip must be attached with the application form; failing which, the application shall not be considered for processing.
- Candidates for the position of Professor are required to submit four (04) complete sets of their applications/dossiers, prepared in the prescribed format available on the University’s website, on or before the closing date of 20-08-2026, within official working hours. In the event of any deficiency or non-compliance, the application shall not be entertained by the University in accordance with the applicable rules.
- No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing in the test/interview.
- Age relaxation shall be admissible as per policy of the Government.
- All applicable quotas will be observed as per the Government rules (if applicable under the rules).
- The University reserves the right to withdraw any post or its advertisement, or reject any or all applications without assigning any reason, which will not be challengeable in any court of law.
- The University may increase or decrease the number of positions as per its requirement and availability of budget.
- The University reserves the right to apply and enforce the rules governing the nature of appointments and relevant service rules, as amended by the Government from time to time.
Interview & Call-Up Letter
- Candidates’ call-up letters and information about the date, time, and venue of the test/interview will be conveyed to short-listed candidates only through registered post/email.
- The University is not responsible if call letters/emails about the test or interview schedule are ignored by the candidates, or if letters are delayed or not received due to any lapse in postal service.
